If there's one word to describe this shoe, it would be awesome. The Asics Gel-Lyte 33 3 made my feet feel secure and comfortable. Though this is a minimally-supportive shoe, it provides adequate cushioning and is responsive to every foot movement I make. It's extremely light and comfortable. Whether I was doing 5 miles of 15+, my feet felt great every step of the way. The fabric is very breathable. In the image below you can see a thin sheer lining and below a layer of foam-like netting. Even on very hot days, my feet stayed dry due to the great ventilation of the shoe.
Specs: The Asics Gel-Lyte 33 weighs 6.8oz. By average it beats the competition by 1.5 oz. The "FluidAxis" flexgrooves in the sole are aligned to the joints of the foot. The minimally-supportive shoe is designed to adapt, and respond to the athlete's exact load and positional change from first impact to toe-off. Lightweight heel construction hugs the foot and minimizes structural weight. The shoe has 6mm heel-to-toe drop from 17-11mm. This shoe is designed for the road. Runners who under pronate or have neutral footing will benefit most from this shoe. Current msrp puts the Asics Gel-Lyte 33 3 around $90 (shop smart).
